"The Big Flag" is—very big, measuring 60 by 30 feet. During the annual Armed Forces Day (AFD) parade, dignitaries, volunteers and parade attendees help carry the flag down Main St. to Veteran’s Park. “Cecil the Sea Serpent” was inspired by the Walker River Paiute Tribe legend of the mysterious “Taogwa” in Walker Lake. The Tribe is located on the North shore of the lake.
